Almost 20 after he launched his music career with the Ricky Blaze-produced hit “Bad Man Forward, Bad Man Pull Up”, dancer and deejay Ding Dong is gearing up for the release of his debut album in March.
The project, which is being spearheaded by Romeich Major of Romeich Entertainment, will comprise a body of work, which Ding Dong says he is proud of.
"The title has been finalised, the release date has been finalised. Da body of work ya ago be fun. Mi listen to all the tracks on the entire album, so that's why mi so excited about it. It ago nice. Mi proud a di work wi put in on this project," Ding Dong told Loop News last week.
When asked why it took him so long to release a full body of work, Ding Dong said: "Mi tek time fi build da fan base deh fi it. Mi a come from dancing and mi waa do music when mi can say, mi reach the ears of other people, so that's when mi ago do the album. Mi did waa ketch odda people ears and show say we can hit inna different fields and widen the fan base. Mi think mi reach da space deh personally, and mi say, mi ago dweet."
Last year Ding Dong scored a monster hit with “Old Skool, New Skool”, which was produced by DJ Mac Music and Crash Dummy Productions. It was featured on the Fiesta riddim.

Ding Dong's most recent releases include “Tiad”, produced by Ragz to Richez Production. The official video, released on January 10, has so far racked up more than 326,000 views on YouTube. Another song, Danca Bwoy, which was released on January 20 via Felva/Romeich Entertainment, has gone more than 383,000 view
