Jamaican-born singer-songwriter Queen Atara is looking to make a solid impression in her homeland as she promotes her music and seeks collaborations with local artistes.
Known for blending hip-hop, reggae, and pop, the Austria-based artiste is eager to connect with Jamaica’s vibrant music scene.
“I’m Jamaican. People outside love me, and I want to be loved and celebrated by my own people. I have worked with artistes from all over Africa, including the Ivory Coast and beyond. Now, I want to do the same in Jamaica,” Queen Atara said.
Produced under her label AtaraEmpire Inc., Queen Atara’s latest songs include “It’s My Moment”, an inspirational anthem, Now, a song for lovers, “Fall”, which expresses deep emotions, “Calling”, a spiritual track that connects with ancestral roots and “Never Mislead Me” with Nature Ellis.
Inspired by the heartbeat of Jamaican music, Queen Atara grew up listening to soul, R&B, and hip-hop, as well as reggae artists like Etana, Queen Ifrica, and Chronixx. She embraces her Taino and Maroon heritage, channeling the spirit of Jamaica into her work.
In addition to her music career, Queen Atara hosts Western Views Radio Show in Tyrol, Austria, bringing Caribbean and American culture to European audiences. The show airs every fourth Sunday at 5pm in Innsbruck.
