Teen girl among 2 charged with recent murder of contractor in Rollington Town

An intensive investigation by detectives from the Kingston Eastern Police Division has led to the arrest and charge of a man and a teenaged girl in connection with the murder of 54-year-old contractor Kevin Johnson in Rollington Town, Kingston earlier this week.
Johnson was shot and killed in the Rollington Avenue area of the community on Tuesday, June 24.
Charged are 26-year-old Javaughn Brown of Rollington Town, and a 17-year-old girl of a Red Hills Road address in St Andrew.
Reports are that Brown, the teen and other accomplices lured Johnson to Rollington Avenue and on his arrival, he was robbed and shot.
The police were summoned and Johnson was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation was launched, which led to the swift apprehension of Brown and the minor.
They were subsequently charged with:
Murder
Conspiracy to commit murder
Robbery with aggravation
Conspiracy to commit robbery
Possession of a prohibited weapon
Unauthorised possession of ammunition
Using a firearm to commit a felony
Accessory before the fact
Misprison of felony
Being part of a criminal organisation
Attempting to pervert the course of justice
The Kingston East police are still in search of the other individuals who were reportedly involved in the incident.
