Portland siblings charged with bribery and conspiracy to bribe

Ateam of officers assigned to the Portland Specialized Operations have charged a man and his sister with bribery and conspiracy to bribe in relation to an incident that occurred in Naylors Hill, Port Antonio in the parish on Saturday, May 3.
They are 35-year-old Kemar Henry a waiter of Naylors Hill, Port Antonio and 39-year-old AnnMarie Fuller, a school teacher of Stony Hill district, both in Portland.
Reports are that at about 7:30 pm, lawmen were in the area when they conducted an operation atHenry’s home.
During the search, one Taurus 9mm pistol with a magazine containing four 9mm rounds of ammunition was found in his possession.
In an effort to prevent the police fromprosecuting him; Henry then offered to bribe them, by promising cash and a cellular phone inexchange for them to set him free.
The lawmen then activated a covert operation, in which the siblings arranged to follow throughwith the bribe as promised.
Sometime after, Fuller visited a service station where Henry and the lawmen were. She then handed the sum of $ 150,000.00 and an iPhone 15 cellular phone to his brother, which was then handed to the lawmen.
Upon receiving the cash and cellular phone, both Henry and Fuller were arrested and werecharged jointly with the offences.
In addition to this incident, Henry was also charged with offences under the Firearms Act.
Their court date has not been finalised.
